When we organize some important event, the host must write a letter of introduction for the guests in order to inform about the event. We must explain the characteristics of the event, and if is necessary, date, placing, schedules, etc...
Dear Mr. Soria,
I am glad to invite your organization to take part in a "Workshop on the Project Sphere" focused in the Procedures for the Response to the Disasters and which we will hold on [Date] in [Place].
It is possible that you know the Project Sphere (but if it is not, we attach a small information leaflet). The Project receives financing of a dozen of governments and is administered by four important networks of NGO: the Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response, InterAction, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) and VOICE (Voluntary Organizations for the Cooperation in Emergency situations). Its aim is to raise the degree of efficiency of the humanitarian assistance, and to give support to the humanitarian agencies in order that they are more responsible (and do a better report of their work)
We will support two events: A meeting of two hours for the directors of organizations, to speak about the procedure in cases of disasters; the meeting will be celebrated (the date). We invite you to be present at this meeting. And a workshop of training during three days destined to operative national managers who are responsible for the work of their humanitarian agencies in response to cases of disasters or of emergency. The workshop will take place the (date)
I thank you for your interest. We hope that it is a workshop useful and valuable.
Receive a cordial greeting of
Marina García Muñoz.
